Training and Coaching

RA designs and delivers bespoke workshops to individual organizations. These may be on diversity, culture change, or specific areas such as diversity in recruitment, flexible working or sexual harassment. All are informed by sound research. RA believes in the value of individual coaching to senior executives and to those in the diversity function, for which there are high expectations with little formal training. This can be a cost-effective way of introducing knowledge of the issues into the organization and providing leadership with the confidence to promote diversity.

  • RA has recently designed and delivered diversity workshops for all employees (from board-level down to entry-level) of a large professional services company. This two and a half hour session looked at the history of diversity as a management issue and the developing business case. It also examined existing behaviours and practices in order to raise awareness and link the individual with the organizational and business issues.
  • Another more specialised workshop devised and developed by RA was entitled ‘Families and Flexibility – the Law and Good Practice’. This gave the key managers of a FTSE 250 firm the legal and best-practice guidelines for dealing with all aspects of maternity/paternity leave and flexible working.
  • RA recently created and facilitated an away-day for the women clergy of a London diocese. The day enabled delegates to explore the local, institutional and theological cultures in which they operated their ministries.
